Fun, great place for groups to meet up! However, the food is nothing amazing. The seafood is actually rather bland and lacks flavor. The atmosphere is really fun, but the price you pay for not-so-good food may discourage you from coming here again.

This is our first time in NSB sea shack. The service and ambiance was excellent and the food was out of this world. We had the escargot and shrimpcargot appys then the Grouper with mussels, clams and shrimp in a light tomato broth over pasta. Wow it was divine. Need yo go back there before heading back to NY.

Awesome food! I love the poke bowl and the Don Ho Shrimp. Whole family loves the pizza! Mix of bisque and chowder is very good. Be wary of outside seating at sundown due to bugs.

Good, solid food, great atmosphere, great view, down-to-earth people working there. I've yet to be disappointed with this place in any way.

This place is a new Smyrna institution. If you desire seafood this is the place to go. We ordered 2 buckets 2 kids meals and a seafood entree. Everything was great. The feast bucket comes with an assortment of seafood, HUGE CRAYFISH, a knuckle of king crab legs, muscles, clams, shrimps corn on the cob and potatoes. The crab buckets comes with just that, lots of king crab! Also corn on the cob and potatoes. The kids enjoyed their popcorn shrimp and fries. Good portion size. The a la cart seafood type entrees can please anyone. Several types of seafood selections with several types of sauce selections and several types of cooking options. Literally dozens and dozens of options. I chose the scallops and shrimp in spicy Asian sauce. Scallops were cooked perfectly, the sauce was sweet and a tad spicy. Everything was served over rice pilaf (which was just ok). OH THE CAESAR SALAD! Best I'd had in years. When you go ask for Margie as your waitress, she'll take great care of you!

Cool vibes at this restaurant a few miles from the New Smyrna beach shores. Our friends who live in NSB suggested that we dine here with them. Sunday afternoon was a perfect time to visit - half price on most of their menu items including a lot of the drinks! I ordered the Key West salmon salad which was normally $13 and ended up being $6.50. The salad was very sweet (mainly because the pineapple and candied nuts) and the pecan crusted salmon was nicely cooked. My husband let me try one of his coconut shrimp. One bite and I could tell why they disappeared from his plate so quickly. My mouth did a happy dance when I bit into the fried crustacean! Our friends were pleased with their appetizers as well, including wings, ribs, and ahi tuna. We saw the table next to us order a pizza and it looked tasty. The restaurant has a brick oven in the back so you know the pizzas are hot and fresh! Service was decent but it was a Sunday afternoon and not busy. My only gripe is it was extremely hot and I'm not sure if the restaurant has air conditioning anywhere inside. Sitting in the back area yields a slight breeze, but in the middle of summer in Florida, it doesn't help much. The view from the back area is neat and I can see coming here in the cooler months during sunset. Overall, our local friends led us to a great place!

I have the Ahi tuna appetizer. It was delicious. I also had a baked potato with my grilled salmon. The salmon was On the early bird special. Delicious and will cooked. Ask for Margie she she is an awesome server and a great friend. It's always nice to see her when we visit the sea shack

The most interesting atmosphere of any place we've seen. All kinds of stuff - big stuff - boAt prop shafts, electrical poles, the more you look the more you see. Also a large clear pipe goes around the whole place with fish swimming inside of it ! Crab legs , potatoes , corn on cob ,coleslaw , coconut shrimp and a puzzle with artichokes, tomatoe , mushroom , peppers, fresh basil , cheese, salami /- delicious. Open fire inside and booths that are half inside and half outside make a great atmosphere. Great music at perfect volume. Desert was giant. Ordered brownie and ice cream - and 4 brownies came (2 different kinds) - big scoop of ice cream and whipped creamed and syrup. Enough for four servings. Brownies were hot and tasted like they were just made. Kudos to Sidney who was our attentive and excellent waitress. Our new #1 stop at NSB

My husband & I were visiting NSB for the weekend & I was craving pizza, so I did a Yelp search for best pizza in the area. Never in a million years would I have ever thought that someplace called "Sea Shack" would not only have pizza, but good pizza! We sat out on the back deck & enjoyed the view over the mangroves. My pizza - the quattro formaggio - was served piping hot right out of the pizza oven on the pizza paddle & it was delicious. My husband had the chicken tenders which were tempura battered instead of the usual breadcrumbs which he said was a nice twist. He was worried they might be fishy tasting, this being a primarily seafood place, but they weren't. Overall a nice experience & would definitely go again the next time we're in NSB.

Great night! We ordered lobster, Mac and cheese seafood, mahi mahi, and pizza were all delicious. They serve you bread prior to dinner and it was also delicious. Wednesday is half priced on most menu items. Rion was our server and couldn't ask for a better waiter and gentlemen!

Had the Mahi-Mahi fish sandwich grilled on brioche with the homemade chips and cole slaw. Very good. We will be back!

Second time here, I absolutely adore this place. It's open air dining is so much fun and there's so many things on the walls and the atmosphere is just plain awesome. The wait staff are super nice and the food is amazing. Totally recommend you give it a try.

We've eaten here twice this week. The first night, a group of us decided to visit for a light dinner and drinks. The clam chowder was the best we've tasted. The next visit our group of five ordered seven different seafood appetizers. It's been a while since we enjoyed fresh seafood that delicious. We ended up bringing several boxes home as well. (Our table was on the back porch and it's a great place to eat with friends. )

We were going to go to Norwood's (tree house restaurant) right across the street but changed our minds as soon as we got there. Weird vibe. We went to PJs instead and it was awesome. Really cool atmosphere and decor. Live fish swimming around in big tube lining the ceiling. Server was ok, hadn't tried most of the stuff we asked about so it was hard to get recommendations, but she was nice. The food was amazing. The crab cakes were so delicious. I had the lobster grilled cheese but I was I would have gotten something a little lighter. Two bites of this thing and I was done. Very rich and heavy. We also got the grouper which turned out great. Prices were fair. We're glad we found this place. We'll be back for sure.

Great experience tonight I had to go back to validate Melisa's comment I truly felt a completely different vibe. We had the wedge salad, tuna and pizza all were awesome. I did hate to review them in such a negative way but that was an honest assessment, but with some reservations we had to try them again and it was excellent the place seemed like a completely different restaurant. The service was great the food was very timely and was very good quality. I will definitely return. Tonight was a great experience . :-)

Seafood is pricy but we come here for the brick fired pizza. Which is absolutely the best around these parts! Best since I left New York some 30 years ago!

Didn't bring all of our food out. Most of the Food was cold. Because we had a larger party (3 kids + 4 adults) we didn't get great service due to the automatic 18% tip. Cool atmosphere in the restaurant.

My husband ordered their ramen, which I just didn't understand...why ramen at the beach? Turns out, it's incredible! Lime, cilantro, light buttery sauce. Really unique and amazing. Fresh and refreshing! Their homemade chips are also delish. Thoughtful, friendly service. Fun and colorful atmosphere on the ocean. Kids will LOVE.

Been coming to this restaurant for a number of years, ever since we started vacationing in New Smyrna Beach. It has become an annual tradition to eat at PJ's. In the past, the food was just OK at best though we always came to sit outside on the back patio. Our waitress informed us they changed their menu and to my pleasant surprise, my meal was good but everyone's meal that joined me was excellent. I got the bucket of muscles and clams. Not bad but I probably wouldn't order it again.

Really fun place to eat. We had the seafood dip for appetizer looked terrible but tasted good. Wife liked the salmon with the dipping sauce. I had ahi tuna fish tacos which were pretty flavorless.

I've only had pizza here so I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but the pizza is WAY better than Stavro's. Their brick oven does the trick ... I just moved to NSB from Orlando and while this pizza doesn't hold a candle to Lazy Moon, it's still really tasty. The crust is bubbly and medium thickness (not NY pizza thin or overly thick). Their service is has always been good too. My rating scale: 5 stars = epic food and service (I rarely ever give this rating). 4 stars = great food and service. 3 stars = decent food and service. 2 stars = something is wrong/off about the food and/or service. 1 star = terrible food and/or service.

Excellent evening for 3 of us. Coconut shrimp appetizer was great. Cajun catfish very good. Mahi Mahdi with curry was excellent. Place was busy and waitress was hurried but service worked out well. Reasonable prices, our Bill was about 70.

Great food. We went on a Monday and had the all-u-can-eat fish fry. The fish was cooked just right. The starter portion are three giant swai filets. All served with crispy french fries an ear or corn and some fresh coleslaw. If I lived in town I would make this a regular spot. Seems like you can't beat 50% off on Wednesday's and Sundays. Service was spot on as well. I would say I am an about average demanding customer and she handled it in stride.

This is an interesting place with a wood fire oven in the dining area and lots of interesting stuff to look at. I had the seared tuna and my husband had crab cakes. Everything was delicious, especially the citrus salad dressing. The wait staff was friendly and inviting. We will come back!

My family and I had dinner here, we're from out of town and it was convent and had pretty good reviews, so we decided to try it and I'm glad we did. It's a little kitschy, but it's a beach restaurant and it adds to the experience in my opinion. I had on of the individual pizzas, which was HUGE, and it was delicious. One of my sisters had the crab cakes, which were a large portion, but I did not particularly like the taste (but that's okay because I didn't have to eat them). My other sister got the shrimp scampi pizza, and she really enjoyed that as well. I took off a star because the prices seemed a little high to me, and I didn't love that the "indoor" seating was completely open to the outside, but otherwise it was fun!

Visited on Sunday with friends, around 4:00 pm.. Didnt realize PJ's had an 'early bird'! Drinks were half price for happy hour 4-6... We had the best experience ever.. Our food was served steaming hot, the specials all came with bread and soft drinks.. The fried pickles app was soo tasty. I had the fish tacos..mahi mahi, cabbage, fresh tomatoes, avocado ranch dressing..came with rice pilaf and veggies...delish!! The fried fish platter was Huge! 2 giant pieces of battered cod; fried shrimp platter came with 10 oversized shrimp lightly battered and mouth-watering. The decor is fun, inviting, very reasonably priced, friendly, and different specials every day!! We went back again Wednesday.. Same fabulous experience. Kids loved it too.

We're local to NSB and visit PJ's about 1-2 times a month. However, lately the food and service have gone down hill. This visit the crab cakes were not cooked. When I let our waitress, Jess, know she was anything but apologetic saying "they're always like that because they are mayonaisey." She checked with the chef who said he could deep fry them instead. Did not offer to remove them from my check. Short story - don't order the crab cakes. Try Oceans Seafood instead.

AMAZING PLACE! My husband and I go there regularly now. We were thinking it was a sea food joint, which it is, but our favorite item on the menu is anything but that. We almost always split the large BBQ chicken pizza, it beats any we have ever tried. The ahi tuna appetizer is great too, has wonderful seasoning. The mahi and mile high fish sandwiches are great as well. It's a wonderful spot to hit in NSB.

Overall a good place. I ordered a pinch me bucket (snow crab with corn on the cob and potatoes). When I got my crab there was mold and dirt on it. I later came back about a week ago and I ordered the same thing and asked if they had king crab but they said no. My friend ordered the same thing except he got one massive leg if king crab and snow crab. There are lots of mosquitos there but they did give you bug spray but after you ordered but it was to late the next morning I had about 30 mosquito bites on my legs and arms both times I went. The service fair just a little slow. (Please don't go there is you have young children they will get a ton of mosquito bites.)

Very disappointed. This was our 5 year visiting New Smyrna and not our first time at PJ's, The bartender was so RUDE, Terrible service, We order dinner and after an hour, and another party sitting next to us (that came in after us) had been served there food and was paying their check, We asked if our food was coming soon, The bartenders response was do you want me to go "SHAKE DOWN THE CHEF" as she went to the kitchen and returned with no food she went to the Computer and proceeded to place an Order, Obviously she hadn't ever punched in our order. I asked to have the check for the drinks and told her we didn't care to wait any longer. She printed the check and proceeded to ignore me for another 10 minutes, at which point I went to the host and asked to speak to a manager, Denis came from the kitchen and i proceeded to explain the situation, he took the check and left me standing there for another 5 minutes! Truly a disappointing experience. As a side note the bartender seemed to be more concerned with HOOKING her friends up and making sure they had full drinks and food in front of them! And it was a little strange how they all kept going out a back door, one can only guess what they were doing?

The service was a little slow. Restaurant seemed a little cluttered and dingy. However we had great food. I had the crabcakes, the lobster bisque, and we also had fried pickles. The food was very good and hot. The bread was wonderful. We were there during happy hour so the fish was half-price and our meal was a great price.

The atmosphere is really fun and it was easy to meet with a larger group of people. However, the price doesn't match the quality of the food. The food was just ok and the drink I ordered was just ok (light on the alcohol). I enjoyed my time but probably would go somewhere else next time where I was getting what I paid for.

Fun place for kids; there's so much to look at! Good indoor/outdoor space. The bread is fantastic. The fried mozzarella appetizer is delicious. The chocolate mousse cake is fabulous. The entrees are pretty solid. I'm told they cook fish well (I'm allergic so not sure) but the rest of the menu is standard American. Burgers are good but not great, pizza has good texture but needs higher-quality ingredients to make it stand out. Fries and homemade chips are good. Still a place we return to for friendly service, fun atmosphere, and reasonable prices when we're in town.

Came here on lobster nite. Busy as ask get out. Took 45 minutes to get a table but that's no big deal. Grabbed beers at the bar and went out on the deck for some ring toss. Great fun with the family. We all ordered the lobster special. It's a long way in the wrong direction for Maine lobster but it was good nonetheless. Decent size with good ample sides. The only reason I give a 3 star is because the table next to us who were at their table before we sat down didn't get their lobsters until well after we were knee deep into ours. They didn't look happy which made me feel guilty about eating mine. They were a table of 6 with the young boy face down in his iPhone. At least he wasn't aware of the injustice.

Love this cozy neighborhood place. We eat there at least once a week and have only been slightly disappointed one time. The service is great and the food too. I like that they have specials every day of the week. Its a great place to take the kids too! Unlike Norwoods you get a great meal at a great price.

Nice place with a cool tube aquarium that runs around the restaurant. Staff was friendly although a little slow. Food was good and came out in a reasonable time. Price was fair as well.

Decided to give them a 2nd try after our last visit in 02/14. We were a party of four and we all had the steamed shrimp for an appetizer. I had the salmon poke bowl for my entree. Both were quite good and on happy hour / daily special prices, so well worth the money. Everyone was pleased with their entrees. The issue this time was that the waiter left a lot to be desired. He was nice enough, but when we ordered, we were all very specific that we would like to have our shrimp appetizers first and then our other items as our entrees. The food took quite awhile to come out and when it did, they brought everything all at once. We would go again if someone else wanted to, but with so many other choices out there, we wouldn't choose it ourselves.

I know they are know for seafood (which is great) but... I have had two perfect hamburgers in my 56 year life, one was here the week of 3/201). I order it medium rare and it was dictionary perfect for color and temp. Roll choice and seasoning were accents to a perfectly presented piece of beef. And you cannot beat the view...

We ate there last week and had a guy put a pizza on the table sticking out a little. A man came by and hit the paddle it was on and it knocked my red wine over and spilled all over my Italian leather jacket, shoes, pants and reba shirt. The wine didn't come out of the shirt . I'm hoping the business will replace it. My family eats here at least once a week so hope it turns out good. I'm quite sure it will. Will let you know.

Positive: Atmosphere is great. Live music is really cool. Service was ok Negative: wow, my food was gross. I ordered the lobster and shrimp Mac and cheese. There was gold fish on the top. Really? Gold fish on my $25.00 meal? To top it off, the macaroni was just Velveeta Shells and Cheese. The recipe had a tomato sauce flavor and was very runny. A very disappointing meal to say the least.

Wish I could review food....but, we arrived last night 45 minutes before closing time. Was seated at bar by hostess, but before We could ask for menus or order drinks ..the rude bartender told us he closed the kitchen 20 minutes earlier. He then told us he called Last Call for drinks already, too. Biz must be great to be able to turn away patrons 45 minutes before closing. I hope the restaurant owner reads this and docks the bartender's pay for lost revenue.

Patricia was our waitress again. She is the best. Our table of 5 enjoyed the fish tacos, mahi mahi, ani tuna, shrimp and coconut shrimp. Everything was wonderful. Only thing we really dislike are the booths. Really bothersome when people behind you don't sit still. You end up spilling beer and food.

Smelly, Sat there for over 10 minutes without anyone saying a word to us!!! Would Never go Back,,,, Never !!!
This place SUCKS!!!! Anymore...ever since the new owners took it over, this place has gone to s@$t for sure. The worst service, they sat my family, including a toddler, right where the sun was shining in on her eyes and mine. Also the server was so high he never noticed my wife's beer needed a refill and took 15 min to count my change out, I watched him count it like 10 times and he blamed it on the bar. The food was horrible, pizza which used to be awesome was soggy and the toppings were not fresh at all. And they didn't have our normal beer on tap, showing poor inventory management. Take my advice and go somewhere else for SURE!!!!
Well, went back for a second time and just not impressed. Mediocre at best! I got the waitress recommended Fish Tacos. Blah. Dried out fish, jarred salsa. Not how it's done. Mom got the crab cakes. Blah. Prepackaged and no taste. The kid got the fish. She said it didn't taste good and couldn't eat it. The other kid got macaroni and cheese served with a side of bread. She's the only one who liked her meal. Bummer, because it's a great place and a great location. Just not worth it at all!

Best pizza in New Smyrna Beach! We always sit at the bar and the bartenders are friendly and prompt. Great nightly specials too.

Service could have been a bit better, but overall service was ok. I had the ahi tuna, which was seared on the outside and raw in the center, just as it should be. It was seasoned nicely and had an excellent flavor. I also had a salad with it, and the salad was fresh and favorable. We sat pretty much next to the pizza oven (in the summer) but it wasn't uncomfortable. I really enjoyed my meal here; next time I I'll try to eat outside.

(08/10/2012) PJ's is a casual eatery, good for families, tourists, singletons, couples, young and old, mix of locals and vacationers. Pretty much nothing too weird or out-of-the-ordinary; it stays middle of the road for just about everything. Bar was lively on a Friday night, live music (kind of a greatest hits of female acoustic guitarists from the 60s and 70s, a little Janis, a little Judy Collins). Hope for nice weather, the whole place is literally a "shack", basically no windows, just one big deck wooden deck with a roof. Sheets of plastic separate precious air conditioning from the humid (and frequently mosquito-y) lagoons. The open air is nice, if you can bear it. Sat at the bar, which was very attentive and heavy-handed with the pours. Unfortunately, it's pretty obvious from the menu they don't serve local seafood. Started with Conch Fritters and Coconut Shrimp: Conch Fritters had that familiar Florida way with all things frittered, stuffed, deviled or caked; there's always that hint of something pickled and pimientos(?), and maybe a little celery seed. Coconut Shrimp were not overcooked, maybe U31s (on the small side, but there were 6), crisply breaded with panko and maybe some coconut (if there was, it was pretty mild); most of the coconut flavoring came from a coconut milk-based, mildly spiced, very sweet sauce that came with both starters. Bacon Cheddar Burger was as expected and cooked to medium as requested, homemade potato chips were nice (crunchy, slabs of potato); it was remarked that the bacon was very "bacon-y". The Mahi Sandwich (ordered blackened) was highly seasoned (a little salty), and came with a nice homemade tartar sauce with evidence of freshly chopped dill and hand-chopped chunks of pickle. Both sandwiches came on toasted buttered potato rolls, you could smell the puddles of butter everytime a plate wafted out of the kitchen. There is a large wood-burning oven smack in the middle of room (warning, it does put out some excessive heat). I hear the pizzas that come from it are good; several takeout orders went out the door during the time we were there. Would probably stop back to try one and take advantage of the deck/patio/outdoor atmosphere, nothing to do but enjoy it.

Location is everything here. The food is pretty good (not the best but you won't be disappointed) but if you want a great, welcoming, good-time environment this is your place! If you love hanging out, talking with friends, you won't be disappointed! No annoying flatscreens or un-necessary noise! The pizza from the brick oven is great and so is the bread they bring out to your table. The restaurant is right on the great Florida marshes and even if you eat indoors--it is a very open-air restaurant so you get fresh air and a great view of the outdoors! Can definitely be romantic or a great family dinner!

Very disappointing...read the reviews and thought we would !n-joy a good meal but it was mediocre at best. Was surprised there were no raw oysters or clams...Menu had a lot of fried stuff and $4 draft for small glass too pricey. The Ahi-Tuna was eh...The Mussels were just OK. The steamed Oysters were too chewy although huge. Cocktail sauce was congealed in a cup. The 1 lb King Crab Legs were $42 so I passed. We were planning to try Ocean's Seafood and wish we had. Tomorrow!

We had been here before but this visit was so much better than expected. For an appetizer we had mussels, what an interesting and different approach...excellent! I had ahi tuna for dinner which was perfectly cooked (seared raw) and beautifully presented, my husband had blackened Mahi and my mom coconut shrimp with the most flavorful mango salsa I've ever tasted. Now... Let's talk service.....Sara was awesome. It seems she was waiting on half the restaurant but yet she was so attentive and polite. Casual laid back experience but yet amazing food and service.

had high hopes for this place, but ended up just leaving to go eat at norwood's across the street. i can totally understand why this place is dead quiet on a friday night...........the servers. ONLY ONE friendly blonde server even approached us as we waited by the hostess stand, where the host was no where to be found. she had to fetch the host, who seemed consumed by what was on his cell phone. we sat down, waited and finally a male server unhappily came over, i think because we were seated in the front dining room and his station was in the back?, well, we attempted to order beers, but every choice we made, they were out of. we finally settled on a couple of cocktails.....waited another 10 minutes, finally went up to the host, who had to look up from his phone, told him that we were leaving and went across the street to norwoods and were delighted that we made that decision! I WOULD NEVER GIVE THIS DUMP A SECOND CHANCE.......where are the managers? where is any employee that gives a crap about this place......

My wife had the ahi Tina salad with wasabi cucumber dressing and said it was delicious, with the tuna seared perfectly. I had a fried seafood platter with a nice crunchy batter. Very nice. My only complaint would be the smallish cup of chowder for $4.95. All in all it was a nice stop.

We went for Valentine's dinner with our kids. I had the surf and turf (Lobster stuffed with crab and fillet mignon with Newburgh sauce) with loaded potatoes, outstanding! My husband had Crab stuffed ravioli and NY steak, he loved it. My son had a cheese pizza and he enjoyed it as well. Great place, we'll definitely be back!

Restaurant side is fine for families and large groups, prefer sitting in the bar with more atmosphere. Steamed mussels with Sambuca are terrific, as are their home made pizzas. Decent bottled wine prices too.

My father in law chose this place to celebrate our week long vacation in NSB. The entire family drove from Michigan and we dined here on our final evening together. 17 people together. Dad even talked to a manager early in the day to assure they could accommodate us. Manger told us to come at 6:30pm and that 3 outdoor picnic tables would be ready for us. We all showed at 6:20 to be early for our reservation. Think the three tables were ready? Nope! Not even one table open. We waited 40 minutes to get 2 tables that were not together. After squeezing 17 people into their seats and ordering meals the meals were served to people in increments of 4 and a new wave of meals would come out every10 minutes so we couldn't dine together. Ultimately everybody received their food with the exception of my mother in law whose order they forgot to put in! Just a joke....one mistake after another. Manager was requested and he went on about them being new owners and a new computer system...food is average at best and the service is terrible! Stay away from this place...save your money...and your time!

My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon a few times, because it was open a bit later than most places in New Smyrna. I felt the food was hit or miss, but overall enjoyable. We eventually learned to sit at the bar. The bartender gave great, attentive service. You just have to make it past the host/waiters/waitresses at the front who will look at you like they're begging you not to come in and bother them. Once, a woman said "Uh, we close in about an hour. So..." "So...?" "So... You can sit at the bar, I guess." So... glad she recommended it, even if she was trying to pupil murder us.

I liked this place. Really unique set up. Dome shaped brick fired oven but I skipped on Pizza. Had the Scallops and Shrimp Scampi over linguini. The bread was warm and soft. Salad was cold and crisp. Not too much just right. Entree was really good. I like that it was not drowning in Garlic. I ate inside as the skeeters were biting outside other patrons warned me. Nice view. And the fish pipeline aquarium was really cool. I will add pictures later.

I went here after a long day at the beach with my friends. The decor is very interesting. They have a tube on the ceiling running around the restaurant with little fish inside and big green balls on the walls. The prices seem a bit high for a place like this. The food was pretty decent. Not everything tasted good but some items were really well done. The bang bang shrimp was tasty and so was the rice pilaf.

Went in for lunch.. All the food was tasteless, on an order of fried shrimp we wanted extra fried instead of coleslaw but that option wasn't available so we opted for a side salad. Worst tasting lettuce and dressing I believe I've ever had in a restaurant. I took two bites and had it sent away. The environment is nice but food at least for our lunch was not that great, needs more and better flavors

Very good food! Great specials including Men's night on Sundays & Ladies night on Wednesday 1/2 price EVERYTHING!! In the bar area only! Nice new owners!!!

I agree with other posters that this is "hit and miss". Its a cute place, in that fun overdecorated Florida theme. Wait staff on the slow side. We were not in a hurry, so did not really care, but my second drink needed a reminder. They were not busy at all. Seems to be a popular family place at early dinner times. Not sure what it is like at party time. I had the "bucket" which had clams, crab legs, corn on the cob, some potatoes, etc etc. It was all luke warm. Tasted OK, but not great. The other person had a grilled Grouper dish, which was quite good. I would probably try it one more time. But it does not hold a candle to DJ's deck down under in Daytona Beach if you want casual fish stuff.

My second trip to PJ's will be my last. Food is adequately priced but the service was lackluster and the place was pretty empty. We all ordered snow crab legs and the meals arrived lukewarm. As any seafood buff will tell you, crab legs need to be warm to hot or they can be a challenge to eat. I was never offered a refill on my drink the entire visit and I left knowing that this would be my last visit. Do yourself a favor and seek shelter elsewhere.

The first time we went, everything was great. The sirloin was excellent, as was the pizza. The second time we went there was a pizza buffet, which didn't look as good as the pizza ordered from the menu, but you couldn't order pizza from the menu. The salads are good, especially the Ahi Tuna salad and the Caesar. Also, the second time we went, there was no breeze and we noticed some mosquitos. They have fans, so you probably want to sit in front of one of those to avoid the mosquitos. The four star rating is based on our first visit.

Pj's is a great locals place. Great bar tenders, great pizza, unique decor, great views over looking the Indian River lagoon estuary, and the BEST happy hour in town. It has a laid back atmosphere and good food. lots of tv's as well to watch all the games. bring the kids, its fun for them too!

Not what we expected. The restaurant had an odd odor & our server was not the best. Food was below average. Will not return.

Service was average while the food was extremely sub-par. Can't really say to much good for this place. I went there for lunch and that atmosphere was kind of cool but atmosphere doesn't make up for bad food. I heard its a little better at night but again that rumor was in reference to the atmosphere and not the food. I would stay away from this place. Blah.

My wife & I ate there on a Thursday night and had an excellent meal. I had the Lobster bucket that was served with corn on the cob, red potato and cole slaw. It is always a great time!

I have eaten here three times and it has been consistent in its horribleness. This last time, i ordered the snow crab legs. I took one look at them and not only sent them back, but got up to tell whoever would listen that they should have been embarrassed to serve such an inferior quality food. I got a hamburger instead and decided it wasn;t worth the effort to eat it. Simply a dreadful place

The ambiance and view are spectacular, the food is decent, too. When we're back in town this is one of my favorite places to bike to and relax. The seafood buckets are good, especially the king crab bucket.

The atmosphere is great here and the Thursday lobster bucket is a winner for the price. When it's warn there's a little game to play outside. Plus their pizza is fantastic.

The pizza is so good here, but they won't even make one until after 8:30 at night (something about needing the brick oven for bread until then). We're vegetarians, so we aren't there for the seafood, but we used to take the family for pizza and play the crazy hook/rope/ring game out on the deck overlooking the mangroves. We used to run over and grab a Loose Zeus with feta, pesto instead of red sauce, artichoke hearts, tomato and onion almost every Saturday night, but we got tired of waiting so late for a pizza.

PJ's was open when we couldn't find our first choice. They took about 30 min to seat us when the restaurant didn't seem that busy, another 10 minutes to order food, and another 30 min after that, the food finally arrived. service was lackluster, the coconut shrimp were pretty good, but the crab cake platter left something to be desired. The amount of sauce was lacking and the crab cakes themselves were rather flat, more like latkas than plump, juicy crab cakes. At around $18 and entree, Give this place a pass.

We've been vacationing in NSB for years and just discovered PJ's. They have a great porch that overlooks the mangroves. Their steamed clams are very yummy.

We liked PJs but didnt love it. We had a seafood platter, which was a little thin for the price. The server was very nice, the outdoor deck seemed like a nice place to sit (although on the night we were there it was quite buggy so we decided against it). Also kind of different, there is a fish tank that is like a 1/2 of a large clear PVC pipe that goes along a track all around the restaurant, that the fish swim by you while we were eating... this was entertaining though the sucker fish got a little excited near us and we got doused in fish tank water 2x!!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Fun, great place for groups to meet up! However, the food is nothing amazing. The seafood is actually rather bland and lacks flavor. The atmosphere is really fun, but the price you pay for not-so-good food may discourage you from coming here again.
(3)Delia W.
(5)Mike L.
Awesome food! I love the poke bowl and the Don Ho Shrimp. Whole family loves the pizza! Mix of bisque and chowder is very good. Be wary of outside seating at sundown due to bugs.
(5)Tom L.

(4)Jim L.
I have the Ahi tuna appetizer. It was delicious. I also had a baked potato with my grilled salmon. The salmon was On the early bird special. Delicious and will cooked. Ask for Margie she she is an awesome server and a great friend. It's always nice to see her when we visit the sea shack

Very packed tonight nice to see that business is picked up Always good valueand good food

(5)Cari W.
(4)Kym L.
(5)Gale C.
Had the Mahi-Mahi fish sandwich grilled on brioche with the homemade chips and cole slaw. Very good. We will be back!
(4)Rocky C.
Great stop for Sunday Fun day happy hour till 6pm half price pizzas. Tried the Dr Pepper robs special it was amazing. Hot 2 pizza from their brick oven we have a meal for 2 days. Very casual place on the beach with good service.
(4)Debbie A.
Second time here, I absolutely adore this place. It's open air dining is so much fun and there's so many things on the walls and the atmosphere is just plain awesome. The wait staff are super nice and the food is amazing. Totally recommend you give it a try.
(5)Gina A.
(Our table was on the back porch and it's a great place to eat with friends. )
(5)Brittany B.
(5)Dave O.
(4)Chris B.
This place cool and the food is good. They are a bit expensive but , its all good. Service is good, food is good and cool bar
(4)Bill B.
Seafood is pricy but we come here for the brick fired pizza. Which is absolutely the best around these parts! Best since I left New York some 30 years ago!
(4)Mars N.
Didn't bring all of our food out. Most of the Food was cold. Because we had a larger party (3 kids + 4 adults) we didn't get great service due to the automatic 18% tip. Cool atmosphere in the restaurant.
(2)Mylee K.
(4)Dustin S.
(4)Mark G.
Really fun place to eat. We had the seafood dip for appetizer looked terrible but tasted good. Wife liked the salmon with the dipping sauce. I had ahi tuna fish tacos which were pretty flavorless.
(3)Heidi W.
(3)Mike F.
Excellent evening for 3 of us. Coconut shrimp appetizer was great. Cajun catfish very good. Mahi Mahdi with curry was excellent. Place was busy and waitress was hurried but service worked out well. Reasonable prices, our Bill was about 70.
(4)Jeff G.
(4)Roseann L.
This is an interesting place with a wood fire oven in the dining area and lots of interesting stuff to look at. I had the seared tuna and my husband had crab cakes. Everything was delicious, especially the citrus salad dressing. The wait staff was friendly and inviting. We will come back!
(4)Samantha K.
(4)Catherine A.
(5)Donald M.
(2)Courtney N.
(5)Rocco S.
(3)Krissa B.
(1)Fawn L.
Great pizza, great coconut shrimp, poke bowl was just ok. Good service, would recommend. Nice music but not too loud, comfortable atmosphere.
(4)Lynda F.
Very good pizza. Nice variety on the Tuesday pizza buffet. Keeping the pizza coming hot and fresh
(4)Jk N.
(4)Jeanmarie M.
(3)thomas h.
Fish tacos are amazing !!!!! It was my first time there and I'll definitely go back again! Awesome food!!!
(5)Sarah F.
(3)Pete M.
(3)Wendy P.
Love this cozy neighborhood place. We eat there at least once a week and have only been slightly disappointed one time. The service is great and the food too. I like that they have specials every day of the week. Its a great place to take the kids too! Unlike Norwoods you get a great meal at a great price.
(5)Mike J.
Nice place with a cool tube aquarium that runs around the restaurant. Staff was friendly although a little slow. Food was good and came out in a reasonable time. Price was fair as well.
(3)Jennifer F.
(3)Greg L.
(5)Dee R.
(5)Nick W.
(2)Debra C.
(1)Shelly L.
Horrible service and management! Over priced food. They had a great band (The Unknowns), but nothing else going for them. Go to The Garlic across the street!
(1)Michael W.
Good food. Lots of seating. Reasonable prices. Very nice waitress. What more could you want?
(5)MaryKaye S.
(4)JW U.
Pizza good
(3)Kathleen C.
Smelly, Sat there for over 10 minutes without anyone saying a word to us!!! Would Never go Back,,,, Never !!!
(1)Chrissy N.
Ate here last night after the Christmas and boat parade and I was probably better off waiting across the street as planned. Came in and hostess was nice and welcoming, sat down and waited... and waited... and waited. Finally 15 minutes after being seated, our server arrives. We place our drink and food orders at the same time. Drinks and salads come about 15 mins later, two bites into our salads and the main entrées arrive. I can only speak for my food, I ordered the shrimp scampi. I received scampi soup. There was so much liquid in the bowl my shrimp were floating and you could barely see the pasta. I've had scampi numerous times and it's never been soup. I'm used to garlic, shrimp and pasta tossed in a light wine sauce... This was almost unpalatable. The server disappeared and only returned with our check without inquiring about

(1)Ginny W.
I was so truly disappointed! We had been to this place a couple times before & while it wasn't anything to write home about, we like the indoor/outdoor atmosphere. They posted on their Facebook a special they were having, called a Poke Bowl. We were so excited to go try it (its one of my fiancé's favorite dishes). It was approx 8:45 on a Friday evening, there were minimal people in the restaurant. We decided to sit in the bar area, where there was a 2 person live band playing decent music. The hostess sat us at our table & after waiting a good 20 minutes with no server or bartender or anyone coming to greet us we decided it was time to leave. Upon leaving, the same hostess who sat us at our table, said "have a great night." I explained to her that the section she put us in obviously didn't have a server because nobody came to our table. She looked at me like I was an idiot & she did not say a word. Needless to say we will NOT be returning! One star for past experience & the other star for nice atmosphere.

This was a great place to visit with a group. Had buckets and large cooked stove oven pizza that was all cooked fresh, sat on patio on a nice day. Seafood was delicious and prices were great.

Welcome to the Florida coast. Stop at PJs, good menu for lunch or dinner. Outdoor seating, bar area has the games on. Good prices and service. Worth a stop.

had high hopes for this place, but ended up just leaving to go eat at norwood's across the street. i can totally understand why this place is dead quiet on a friday night...........the servers.

Nice atmosphere. Excellent Mahi Mahi dinner. One or our favorites in NSB.

Best bartenders and happy hour around!!!

(3)Erica F.

(4)Debbie K.
Not what we expected. The restaurant had an odd odor & our server was not the best. Food was below average. Will not return.
(2)Brian M.

(4)Chuck F.
(1)Jeff H.
The ambiance and view are spectacular, the food is decent, too. When we're back in town this is one of my favorite places to bike to and relax. The seafood buckets are good, especially the king crab bucket.
(4)Andi R.
The atmosphere is great here and the Thursday lobster bucket is a winner for the price. When it's warn there's a little game to play outside. Plus their pizza is fantastic.
(4)Diane B.

(2)C R.
We've been vacationing in NSB for years and just discovered PJ's. They have a great porch that overlooks the mangroves. Their steamed clams are very yummy.
(4)Alison S.
